Publications and Resources
New writing for young performers.
Dynamic Education has recently moved into publishing, prompted in part by something we kept noticing: there simply aren’t enough strong, contemporary performance pieces written for young people.
So we started publishing.
Students studying speech and drama, preparing for competitions and examinations, or performing at school are often searching through the same limited pool of plays, monologues and duologues.
So, we decided to start publishing them ourselves.
Our growing collection brings together original plays, monologues, duologues and other performance resources, with a particular interest in new writing and young writers. We want to create material that young performers actually want to pick up, explore and perform, and give emerging writers a place for their work to be read, published and brought to life.
Introducing
Now I Know
A play by Pascale Freeman
When a dead body and a bloody conscience collide, the truth becomes much harder to ignore.
Now I Know is an original play by Pascale Freeman. Centred on Lynette and her father, Edward, the play explores what happens when people disagree about what should be done with the truth, whether people deserve to know it, and what happens when telling it may cause even more damage.
Written for two performers playing multiple characters, Now I Know moves between family, investigation and consequence, combining dark humour, mystery and moral questions in a fast-moving contemporary script.
This printed edition is suitable for readers, drama students, schools, theatre groups and performers interested in contemporary Australian youth writing and plays designed for a small cast.
Now I Know had its first read-through in July 2026, performed by Pascale Freeman and Tui Rei.
